Strategy Case Study: Sony Entertainment

For our final case in Strategies In The Internet Era we will be looking at strategic options for Sony Corporation's entertainment branch. As it happens the company just held a much anticipated strategy meeting on May 22nd. Here is the publicly available summary of the meeting and the slides of the corresponding presentation. Very interesting and informative are also these two critical articles about Sony's past intended strategy aiming to create strategic advantages by linking content with electronic consumer goods: ex ante in the Economist (2005) and with the analytical advantage of at least some degree of hindsight in the Harvard Business Review (2012).
